Paradies in Perfektion

Die Seychellen

The Seychelles is nature's masterpiece of tropical beauty. This archipelago of 115 islands scattered across the Indian Ocean offers landscapes found nowhere else on Earth. Ancient granite boulders, smoothed by millennia of wind and waves, frame beaches of powder-soft white sand. Lush jungle interiors hide endemic species like the giant Aldabra tortoise and the legendary Coco de Mer palm with its suggestively shaped nuts. Unlike other tropical destinations, the Seychelles feels refreshingly untouched. Strict environmental protections have preserved these islands in pristine condition, creating a sanctuary where nature still reigns supreme. The pace of life is gentle, the waters are impossibly clear, and the beaches regularly rank among the most beautiful on the planet. Whether you seek romance, adventure, or simply a place to disconnect from the world, the Seychelles delivers paradise in its most authentic and unspoiled form.

Where It All Began

First Adventure Together: Three Weeks in the Seychelles

The Seychelles holds a special place in our hearts. It was here, in 2021, that we embarked on our very first trip together as a couple. For Marlene, it was even more significant: her first journey outside of Europe. What better place to start than paradise itself?

Over three unforgettable weeks, we explored the three main islands. On Mahé, we discovered hidden beaches tucked between jungle-covered hills. On Praslin, we wandered through the ancient Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site where the mysterious Coco de Mer palms have grown for millennia. Their enormous, uniquely shaped nuts left us both amazed and amused. La Digue charmed us with its iconic granite boulders and car-free roads where bicycles rule.

Not every moment was glamorous, though. The ferry ride between islands turned into an adventure of its own. The rough seas had us clutching the railings, desperately trying not to lose our breakfast over the side of the boat. We survived, barely.

Looking back, this trip set the tone for all our adventures to come. The Seychelles showed us how perfectly we travel together, and the rest, as they say, is history.
